Built to Spill Give Themselves an Electro Makeover as the Electronic Anthology Project

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 3, 2010

Have you ever wondered what Built to Spill would sound like if their signature three-guitar attack was replaced with synth-heavy electro pop sounds? Us neither. Regardless, the band's Doug Martsch and Brett Nelson have recreated seven Built to Spill classics under their new moniker, the Electronic Anthology Project.

As TwentyFourBit reports, the duo have dropped a new self-titled EP, currently available at Built to Spill shows and through CD Baby. The songs are intended to be "in the vein of the '80s twelve-inch remix." Each of the track titles is an anagram of the original. The full tracklisting is available below.

The songs "Eels," "What If Your Dull" and "Age I Felt" can be streamed over at the duo's MySpace page.

The Electronic Anthology Project:

1. "I Dim Our Angst In Agony (Goin' Against Your Mind)"

2. "Age I Felt (Get A Life)"

3. "At The Where (The Weather)"

4. "Eels (Else)"

5. "What If Your Dull (I Would Hurt A Fly)"

6. "A Gloss Siren (Israel's Song)"

7. "Far Path Tall Sign (Things Fall Apart)"
