Kevin Martin is best known as the Bug, but he also plays in the trio King Midas Sound. That band are launching a four-part series of collaborative records, and Edition 1 in the set is with Austrian ambient master Christian Fennesz.
Edition 1 is due out on September 18 through Ninja Tune. It was built around improv guitar tracks, samples and unheard material from Fennesz's archives. A press release notes that Martin "wanted to create a record focused on kaleidoscopic sonic beauty, bathed in the bluest emotional lyricism."
