The Bug Gets Infected with Roots Manuva, Autechre, Justin K. Broadrick

London dubstep guru the Bug turned heads in 2008 with his winning Ninja Tune effort, London Zoo. The hard working beatsmith is said to be working on various new projects, but to hold us over, he's announced a new EP, which will be released this fall.

Entitled Infected, the four track release will be available on two twelve-inch records. The first record features "Catch a Fire," a remake of the Bug's "Skeng" that includes vocals from King Midas Sound's Hitomi and guitar work from Jesu's Justin K. Broadrick. Broadrick previously worked with the Bug in their Techno Animal project in the '90s.

The second record features a remix of "Skeng" courtesy of Warp geniuses Autechre, along with a reworking of "Poison Dart" courtesy of dub busybody Scratcha.

Ninja Tune will drop Infected on November 15 in Europe. No North American release date is available yet, but this EP looks worthy of exorbitant import fees if need be.

Thanks to FACT for the tip.
