Bryan Ferry Takes 'Avonmore' on North American Tour, Plays Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 1, 2016

While specifically promoting Bryan Ferry's 2014 long-player Avonmore, the rock and pop legend is set to bless the North American masses with a tour pulling songs from his Roxy Music days and beyond. This next round of dates starts in the summer.

Ferry has a number of spring dates across the UK and Europe, but he won't be crossing the pond for his North American trek until July. Then, he'll kick off this leg of Avonmore-supporting shows with a Canadian stop at Toronto's Massey Hall on July 19. This will be the only Canadian appearance, though Ferry had hit Montreal and Vancouver, as well as Toronto, on his last North American push in 2014.

The North American dates wrap in Los Angeles in August, but Ferry still has a few more European dates planned for later in the fall. You'll find the U.S./Canada info below, while his international schedule can be found in detail over here.

Avonmore found Ferry tackling originals, as well as covers of material by Stephen Sondheim ("Send in the Clowns") and Robert Palmer ("Johnny and Mary"). The record had him teaming up in the studio with the likes of Flea, Ronnie Spector, Johnny Marr and more.
