Bryan Adams Has COVID for the Second Time in a Month

"It's off to the hospital for me"

Bryan Adams has come down with his second case of COVID in a month, announcing the news with an Instagram post this morning.

Adams tested positive after arriving at Milan's Malpensa Airport, just ahead of the unveiling of the 2022 Pirelli Calendar that he shot, the theme of which is "On the Road" and features portraits of people like Iggy Pop, Grimes, Cher, St. Vincent, Saweetie and Jennifer Hudson

Adams was meant to appear at a series of press events to promote the calendar and attend the annual Pirelli Calendar unveiling gala, though that obviously won't be happening now.

Adams' Instagram post reads: "Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I've tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID. So it's off to the hospital for me." He also thanked fans for their support.

Last year, Adams infamously blamed the pandemic on "bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards" in what he later characterized in his apology as "a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet-markets being the possible source of the virus, and [a promotion of] veganism."

Back in October, Adams announced his 15th studio album So Happy it Hurts, which is arriving March 22.
