Published Apr 25, 2012Festival season is almost upon us, and soon enough, there will be even more musical events happening across the country. Now, Saskatoon will add one more stop for travelling bands via the newly announced MoSoFest.
A press release explains that the inaugural edition of the MoSo Fest will bring out more than 50 international, national and local acts to stages all across the city June 14 to 16. A full festival lineup will be announced May 3, but so far some of the big players include former Constantines member Bry Webb, Toronto punks Burning Love, BC-based electronic artist Teen Daze and Seattle singer-songwriter Damien Jurado.
Other artists announced thus far include Shotgun Jimmie, Ketamines and Jessica Jalbert, as well as local artists Factor, Feral Children, Castle River, Breaker Breaker, Powder Blue and Vaero.
The music fest will act as a supplement to the second annual MoSo Conference, Canada's Mobile and Social Media Conference. The conference is bringing out a number of industry figures, from author Julien Smith to entrepreneurial experts to marketers, to speak to crowds.
Early bird passes for both portions of MoSo are on sale now here, with a music-only pass running for $39, and a conference/fest pass costing $229.
