Manitoba, get ready to be part of grindcore history. London, ON filmmaker David Hall is going to be filming trailblazing grind band Brutal Truth at their upcoming Manitoba Metal Fest 2010 appearance for part of his upcoming documentary about the group.

Hall's production company, Handshake Inc., will be releasing a movie on the New York band, according to bravewords.com. There is no confirmed release date or title for the movie yet, but in a press release, Hall said the film will explore how fans respond to, and value the, music of the band, as well as take a closer look at the guys who create the wondrous din.

Hall recently produced Disgorge, Mexico: The Movie, which he wrote and directed with inspiration from Ottawa, ON-based weirdo grinders Fuck the Facts' album of the same name. He was also the man behind Axis of Eden: The Movie, which was based on weirdo noise metal freaks Today Is the Day's Axis of Eden album, and Maryland Deathfest: The Movie. He's currently in pre-production for a follow-up documentary on the fest, which bears the cumbersome moniker of Maryland Deathfest: The Movie: The Sequel.

Brutal Truth recently released Evolution in One Take: For Grindfreaks Only! Volume 2, a completely live-in-the-studio re-recording of their last studio album, 2009's Evolution Through Revolution, which was their first since reuniting in 2006 after a seven-year absence from the extreme-grind scene.

The Manitoba Metal Fest goes down March 24 at the Park Theatre (all-ages) and March 26 and 27 at the Zoo in Winnipeg, with Brutal Truth headlining on the 27th.
