Brooklyn Rapper Attempts to Break Guinness World Record with 52-Hour Freestyle
DJ Green Arrow is a Brooklyn, NY-based rapper who currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest freestyle rap, with a nine-hour-and-52-minute freestyle he accomplished in 2007. This week, however, he's trying to blow his previous accomplishment out of the water with a staggering 52-hour freestyle.

According to AllHipHop, Green Arrow launched his marathon rap session on Monday (May 3) and plans to conclude it tonight. The event is called "Suckas Need Bodyguards," and involves him rapping in 12-hour intervals, with four one-hour breaks. The rhyming will be 100 percent improvised, as Arrow navigates the subway system through all five New York boroughs, as well as stops in New Jersey and Connecticut.

The marathon rap session will conclude at Harlem's Maysles Cinema, at 7 p.m. EST. There, Arrow will join fans for a screening of The Other Side of Hip Hop. We're almost certain that he's going to fall asleep during the movie though,

For updates along the trek, fans can keep an eye on DJ Green Arrow's website or Facebook page.
