Broken Social Scene returned with Hug of Thunder earlier this year, and the Toronto collective are closing out 2017 by delivering a couple more musical gifts.
The band have shared a two-song Spotify session that features a new recording of "Skyline," as well as a cover of Tom Waits' Bone Machine cut "I Don't Wanna Grow Up."
The BSS rendition of the track is a lot less ramshackle than the original, swapping out the gravelly vocals and gritty sound for a softer, sweeter, more melodic version of Waits' tune.
