Broken Bells' After the Disco standout "Holding on for Life" has already been remixed by Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, and now Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio has taken a crack at the song under his mononym Baio.
This remix sports a perky dance beat and big synth wooshes, but the vocals are the most striking thing about it. Baio chops up James Mercer's singing and alters the verses to make him sound a bit like a smooth lounge singer.
