Brit Awards and ECMA Nods Announced

Nominees for the Brit Awards were announced recently with Lily Allen, Gnarls Barkley and Muse leading the way with three nods each. Other multiple nominations were given to Arctic Monkeys, Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse and Scissor Sisters. The awards will be handed out at Earl’s Court in London on Valentine’s Day. Beginning the next day on this side of the pond will be the East Coast Music Association’s Conference and Awards, which run until the 18th. Nominees for the awards include artists such as Sloan and Jill Barber for Recording of the Year, Joel Plaskett and the Trews for Single of the Year, and In-Flight Safety and Ruth Minnikin for the Galaxie Rising Star Recording of the Year.
