The Bright Light Social Hour

"Sea of the Edge" on Exclaim! TV

BY Lisa VanderwykPublished Jun 3, 2015

The Bright Light Social Hour believe that music has the potential to confront socio-political issues, consider the human condition and to incite change, and their latest album, Space Is Still The Place, examines these issues closely. The band have been touring North America for a while, and stopped in Toronto for a session with Exclaim! TV, where they performed an outdoor rendition of "Sea of the Edge" for our cameras.

Perched on a row of tin boxes under a sunlit blue sky, they delivered a toned-down departure from their usual full-band psych rock performance. It was the perfect setting for this dreamy rendition of the song, which finds the vocalists easing into serene harmonies, accompanied by airy keyboard and gentle tapping on a tin box.

Experience the whimsical session below on Exclaim! TV.
