Bright Eyes Collect Studio Albums in Massive Box Set

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 20, 2016

Way back in 2012, Conor Oberst treated his Bright Eyes project to a series of vinyl reissues. Now, however, he's outdone himself with a massive Bright Eyes box set.

The release has been given the self-explanatory title The Studio Albums 2000-2011, and as one might expect it includes all of the Bright Eyes studio albums from the year 2000 to the year 2011.

In other words, the box features Fevers and Mirrors (2000), LIFTED or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground (2002), I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (2005), Digital Ash in a Digital Urn (2005), Cassadaga (2007) and The People's Key (2011).

Save for The People's Key, all of the albums have been remastered by legendary engineer Bob Ludwig. The releases are spread across 10 vinyl LPs housed in a foil-stamped, linen-wrapped box. Further, a CD box set limited to 1,000 copies will also be available (the vinyl version is limited to 5,000).

Saddle Creek will issue The Studio Albums 2000-2011 on September 16.

The remastered albums will also be treated to individual reissues, with Fevers and Mirrors and LIFTED or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground set to arrive on November 4 and I'm Wide Awake, It's MorningDigital Ash in a Digital Urn and Cassadaga set to arrive on November 11.
