Bright Eyes Announce Return with First Live Shows in Nine Years

They've also signed to Dead Oceans

Bright Eyes have been hinting at some sort of reunion, and now the long-dormant band have confirmed they will play a series of shows throughout 2020.

The Conor Oberst-led outfit have announced five shows spanning the globe. They'll perform in Tokyo in March, two shows in Los Angeles in May, New York in June, and at the U.K.'s End of the Road Festival in Salisbury this September.

For the U.S. shows, Bright Eyes will be supported by Lavender Diamond in L.A. and by Japanese Breakfast and Lucy Dacus in New York.

The gaps between sets could suggest that additional dates will be announced at a later date, but if Canadian fans want to be sure to catch Bright Eyes back in action, they'll have to make some travel plans.

Check out the full list of confirmed shows down below, where you'll also find a video teasing their 2020 return.

The band have also revealed that they've signed to Dead Oceans, signalling that some new material is likely in the works.

Bright Eyes' last album arrived in 2011 with The People's Key. They haven't toured since that album cycle.
