Brendan Philip

"Wild Side" (video)

Soulful Toronto dude Brendan Philip dropped his self-titled debut EP earlier this year via Fake Art, but he's keeping the momentum behind it going with a brand new video for "Wild Side."

The track served as the final song on the aforementioned EP and features a sleek electro-R&B beat paired Philip's digitized croon. The visuals, meanwhile, feature late-night footage of Philip and a lady friend driving down an ominous empty highway, spliced with more romantic shots of the car parked in an open field with fireworks lighting up the night sky.

"'Wild Side' is Americana dressed in a Canadian tux, out for a groovy ride in an endless dark night," said Philip in a statement. "The 'Wild Side' clip is a night cruise with no destination, while riding to the funk of the new black wave."
