Braids are currently short-listed for the Polaris Music Prize for their album Deep in the Iris, and as they await the September 21 gala to find out whether they've won, they have announced plans to embark on a fall tour.
Following a couple of summer dates, the outing gets underway in earnest in the second half of September. In addition to playing a number of U.S. gigs, Braids' schedule includes eight Canadian shows (including a few festivals). There are stops in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia, and the month-long outing will eventually wrap up in the second half of October.
