Brad Pitt Treated Chris Cornell's Kids with a Trip to Universal Studios

It's undoubtedly been a difficult time for the friends and family of alt rock icon Chris Cornell, who took his own life on May 17. To offer a brief bit of fun, family friend Brad Pitt opted to take Cornell's children on a day trip to Universal Studios.

The War Machine actor was close friends with Cornell, so it only makes sense that he'd offer his assistance in the aftermath of the singer's death.

The actor was recently spotted enjoying Universal Studios with Tori Cornell (12) and Christopher Cornell (11). They sipped butterbeer at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and were also spotted at Simpsons Land.

"Brad and Chris were very close," a source told ET. "Brad wanted to be supportive of [Cornell's wife] Vicky and the kids." Another eyewitness added, "He looked really happy and was acting so kindly toward the kids, going on rides and strolling around like nothing was too much trouble."
