You all keep going to rock'n'roll biopics, meaning movie execs are going to keep greenlighting them for many years to come. Up next, Boy George is getting the treatment with a new movie.

The Culture Club frontman will receive a tale about his life courtesy of MGM, which has hired Sacha Gervasi to write and direct. Gervasi previously helmed the excellent Canadian metal doc Anvil! The Story of Anvil.

"There is no filmmaker better suited than Sacha Gervasi to tell George's confessional story with the irreverence and emotion it deserves," said MGM president Jonathan Glickman [via Deadline]. "We couldn't be more thrilled to be working with both of them to bring this remarkably honest and wildly entertaining tale to audiences around the world."

The film does not have a title or a release date just yet, but it will follow Boy George's Irish upbringing and his success in forming Culture Club.
