Borrtex Readies New Solo Record 'Harmony,' Shares "Fluid" Single

Prague-based contemporary piano composer Borrtex — born Daniel Bordovsky — has announced his latest solo record, Harmony. The LP is out independently on December 20, and he has shared the single "Fluid" ahead of time.

Harmony features 12 piano compositions in a variety of tempos and styles. Minimalist pulses and repetitive patterns eventually give way to more calming sounds, culminating in piano ballads in the back half of the LP.

In a statement, Borrtex said this about the record:

This solo record is very special to me. Most of the ideas came down pretty unexpectedly while I was improvising on my new custom built acoustic upright piano. The creative process felt very enriching and liberating as there was no intention whatsoever, I was just enjoying the music and it all happened very naturally to me, which I find really inspiring. I truly do believe that my work is going to bring value to other people and hopefully they will enjoy it as well.
