Boris recently plugged forward with their noise-spiked Gensho collaboration with Merzbow, but the Japanese band will be spending this summer highlighting some of their most celebrated material. A 10th anniversary of their Pink is on the way, and the trio will support the release by playing the album in its entirety on a forthcoming tour.
A press release confirms that a special edition of Boris' 10th album arrives July 8 through Sargent House. Initially released in Japan through Diwphalanx Records in 2005 and in North America via Southern Lord a year later, this touched-up version of the album arrives as a double CD or deluxe three-LP box set.
The collection arrives in slightly altered form, as certain parts of Pink were truncated for the original CD release. While they had appeared in their unaltered longer form on the vinyl edition, the expanded versions of "Farewell," "Pseudo-Bread" and "My Machine" are now likewise untouched for the CD release.
The deluxe Pink also features nine bonus tracks, here collected under the banner of Forbidden Songs. The extras are said to be "of the same hyperactive, accessible and aggressive caliber of the original album." These were mixed, edited and arranged in 2015, and remastered in 2016 for inclusion on the upcoming release.

Boris have also announced the tour route for their North American Pink 10th anniversary tour. The trip finds them travelling with fellow stone rock miners Earth and Shitstorm. Earth, however, won't make it into Canada for the dates in Montreal and Toronto.
