Booker T. Jones has enjoyed a prolific and well-celebrated career since popping up on the R&B scene in the early '60s. From legendary 1962 hit single "Green Onions" right through to his Grammy-winning 2009 album, Potato Hole, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has seen his share of success. Ready to keep things rolling, the musician has just announced his latest album.

A press release explains that the organ player will deliver his next platter, The Road From Memphis, on May 10, courtesy of Anti- Records. While the set promises to deliver his signature organ and piano licks, the new disc will also feature a host of notable pals. The set was produced by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith) and the Roots drummer Questlove, whose band also back Jones on the recording. While Potato Hole was an all-instrumental affair, The Road From Memphis features a handful of guest vocalists.

Singers to appear include the National's Matt Berninger and soul queen Sharon Jones on "Representing Memphis," My Morning Jacket leader Jim James on "Progress" and a vocal turn from Lou Reed on "The Bronx." Jones himself lays down a rare vocal performance, describing his hometown on "Down in Memphis." You can check out the full tracklisting below.

While no dates have been announced as of yet, the press release confirms that Jones will be travelling the road from Memphis to a number of undisclosed locations later this year.
