Boogát is a Canadian-Mexican artist working out of Montreal, Quebec. The rapper has previously drawn from multiple genres such as hip-hop, reggaeton and electronic music to weave together a sound that speaks to his personal journey. On his latest album, San Cristóbal Baile Inn, he sticks to this formula and provides listeners with 12 high-energy tracks.

The blend of genres on Boogát's latest album creates an energetic tempo that complements his rapping. His lyrical delivery is fast-paced and fun, keeping the overall mood of the album uplifting and vibrant. It's easy to get lost within the songs, but not always in the best way — the album offers little variety in tempo. That said, the influences here range; many of these songs contain Latin influence, and are dotted with sounds from other genres.

Boogát's third album is another display of the artist's range of talents. Not only are multiple sounds seamlessly used together to reflect his travels, but Boogát continues to deliver great lyrics in Spanish. Here's hoping his next album has just a little more dynamism.
