Bonobo Announces 'The North Borders' LP, Shares New Video, Books North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 24, 2013

Since he dropped his excellent Black Sands LP three years ago, we've been anxiously awaiting the return of Bonobo. Now, at long last, the UK electronic master will return with a new album.

The release is called The North Borders, and a press release calls it "a long stride forward — both a natural evolution and a continuation of the electronic palette of Black Sands. Thematic, resonant, addictive and perfectly formed, it's a thrillingly coherent statement piece."

We don't have a tracklisting just yet, but lead single "Cirrus" has a video, which can be streamed below. The album will be available on April 2 via Ninja Tune and can be preordered here.

In addition, Bonobo has also announced a large North American tour, including Canadian stops in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. All dates are available below.
