Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Releases Album Via Bottle Stopper
This is is probably the best indie rock nicknack since the Flaming Lips unveiled their Silver Trembling Fetus ornament last Christmas: Will Oldham (aka Bonnie "Prince" Billy) is releasing a bottle stopper in his own likeness. For fans of fine wines and Appalachian indie folk, this is both fun and practical.

There are only 150 corkers being made, which will be officially released next week over at Domino. What's even better is this: those who pre-oder will receive a free download of the new Bonnie "Prince" Billy and the Cairo Gang album, The Wonder Show of the World, which will arrive in your inbox on the digital release date of March 22 (that's the British release date, one day earlier than the North American one). So really, the bottle stopper is a bit like a fancy download coupon.

This is similar to when Of Montreal released their album Skeletal Lamping as a download alongside items such as T-shirts, tote bags, buttons and wall decals.

There's only one problem - the entire run of 150 appears to be sold out already! This is a bummer for fans of Will Oldham, but good news for the music industry: record labels may have finally find the new physical medium they were looking for.
