Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Matt Sweeney Team Up to Score Surf Documentary
As always, Will Oldham continues to have a bunch of projects on the go as Bonnie "Prince" Billy. Following the announcement of his upcoming Everly Brothers tribute album with Dawn McCarthy, the collaborative performer has once again teamed up with Matt Sweeney to score a new documentary.

Performing together as Superwolf once again, the duo will provide music to Westerly, a documentary film about the life of transgender surf legend Peter Drouyn and his metamorphosis into Westerly Windina.

Rising to prominence in the '60s, Drouyn was one of the first big names in surfing. He was a surf celebrity for many decades before sinking into obscurity in the '80s. Then, in 2002, he suffered a surfing accident, and after that, his feminine side took dominance. In 2008, he announced plans to begin living as a woman named Westerly Windina. The film follows the tumultuous life Windina now leads.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Matt Sweeney have composed a new score for the film, but the final project is still raising funds for completion. If you'd like to donate, you can visit Westerly's Kickstarter page.

A trailer for the film is available below.
