Published Apr 05, 2016Ottawa-bred, Toronto-based three-piece Bond Girls will be dropping their debut full-length Dancer at the end of the month, but Exclaim! is giving you a preview of things to come with the premiere of album cut "The Taunt."
Bringing together fuzzed-out guitars, a fierce rhythm section and melodic vocals, the band offer up a fresh take on garage rock. Their eclectic combination of sounds shines through on "The Taunt," swinging between moments that evoke everything from grunge to funk, but ultimately stay grounded thanks to a driving rock'n'roll backbone.
Dancer was produced by Laurence Currie between Union Sound Company, Taurus Studios and Candle Studios in Toronto, and according to a press release, boasts "breakneck 90 degree freakouts, songs that turn upside down, and other tracks that hit you square in the chest."
