​Bon Iver, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Danny DeVito, Zach Galifianakis Contribute to New Book Project

An impressive roster of artists has teamed up for a good cause, contributing to an illustrated book project titled Stories for Ways and Means. Spearheaded by Waxploitation label head Jeff Antebi, the 350-page book has been in the works for 10 years and features contributions from 30 songwriters.
 
Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Pixies' Frank Black, My Morning Jacket's Jim James, Laura Marling, Devendra Banhart, the Kills' Alison Mosshart, Kathleen Hanna, Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz, Will Oldham (a.k.a. Bonnie "Prince" Billy), Wolf Parade's Spencer Krug, Del the Funky Homosapien and more collaborated with illustrators to tell original children's stories.
 
There are also a series of short films to accompany the book, featuring guest narration from the likes of King Krule, Joey Bada$$, Nick Offerman, Zach Galifianakis, Danny DeVito and others.
 
Proceeds from the book will go to literacy-based non-profit organizations Room to Read and Pencils of Promise.
