Bon Iver

"Heavenly Father"

Bon Iver is among the high-profile names to contribute original music to Zach Braff's new film, Wish I Was Here. Now, that soundtrack contribution has emerged.

"Heavenly Father" finds project mastermind Justin Vernon crooning soulfully over a disorienting bed of looping ambience. A sampled beat and acoustic strumming enters a minute and a half in, although the arrangement remains quirky and inventive.

Wish I Was Here will be in theatres on July 18, and the soundtrack will follow on August 5 (the same day that Garden State's soundtrack comes out on vinyl).
