The Body Joins Forces with the Haxan Cloak for 'I Shall Die Here' Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 4, 2014

Last year, uncompromisingly noisy metal duo the Body and electronic experimenter the Haxan Cloak released two fantastic albums in Christs, Redeemers and Excavation, respectively. Now, the two seemingly disparate acts have joined forces for a new LP.

The album is called I Shall Die Here, and a press release promises that "the tried and true sound of the Body is cut to pieces, mutilated by process and re-animated in a spectral state by the newly minted partnership." The group added that they aimed to make an album that was "wholly experimental."

The three performers utilized frequent engineers Seth Manchester and Keith Souza for the album.

I Shall Die Here will be available on April 1 via RVNG Intl. The album's terrifying "Hail to Thee, Everlasting Pain" can be streamed below.

I Shall Die Here:

1. To Carry the Seeds of Death Within Me

2. Alone All the Way

3. The Night Knows No Dawn

4. Hail to Thee, Everlasting Pain

5. Our Souls Were Clean

6. Darkness Surrounds Us
