A press release describes Midnight Pearl as "moonlit lounge laments out of a North Vancouver houseboat," and that's not far off. The debut cassette from Bobo Eyes — which is composed of Evy Jane's Evelyn Mason and Regular Fantasy's Olivia Meek — dabbles in some bleak, noirish post-disco, not unlike something you'd find on the Italians Do It Better roster.
