Boards of Canada Host 'Tomorrow's Harvest' Listening Party at California Waterpark

As if there weren't enough tricks up their sleeves in the marketing campaign for their upcoming new album Tomorrow's Harvest, Scottish electronic experimenters Boards of Canada have hosted a stream of the whole thing at a Californian waterpark.

As Pitchfork points out, the duo tweeted a simple message over the weekend which read "May 27th 12:00 PDT." Their crafty fans realized that the tweet also included an image of the Lake Dolores Waterpark in Southern California.

Sure enough, that tweet was followed up with the below video, which is a weird sort of advertisement for the waterpark. Then, today, as expected, a full stream of the record went down at the park.

If you can't wait long enough to hear the whole release, Ustream user tonx23 has some footage from the event, complete with wind distortion and tinny audio, here.

For the rest of us, Tomorrow's Harvest drops on June 11 via Warp.
