Brooklyn-based electronic duo Blondes broke out last year thanks to the strength of their excellent debut EP Touched. Now, they're carrying over the momentum into 2011 with a series of twelve-inches on the hotly tipped RVNG Intl. imprint.
The three-part series will kick off with the release of Lover/Hater on March 15, which a press release describes as exploring "the dichotomy of love and hate as hypnotic chords pulse in dense layered textures over shimmering house rhythms." Two more twelve-inches are expected to drop later in the year, with a CD and digital compilation coming in the fall with exclusive remixes.
Blondes will also be busy with a bundle of live dates, kicking off with a European tour throughout February. Then the duo will also join Simian Mobile Disco and the Juan Maclean for the entirety of their previously announced North American trek. The run of shows includes Canadian stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
