UK dance rockers Bloc Party just wrapped up a brief tour of England, and this month are scheduled to play a show in Osaka, Japan. After that's done, the band are planning on going on hiatus, their first extended downtime since 2005's breakthrough, Silent Alarm.

The band haven't even had time to unpack yet, but it has already been revealed that front-man Kele Okereke is planning on working on a solo album. Producer Hudson Mohawke broke the news during an interview with BBC Radio 1xtra [via NME], revealing that he may be contributing to the album.

"It hasn't been finalized yet, but I'm doing a bit of stuff for Kele from Bloc Party's solo album," Mohawke said. "He's doing a record with one of the guys from Spank Rock."

No concrete details about the album have been officially released, but based on that pair of collaborators, it seems likely that the album will Okereke's foray into more electornic territory.
