Blind Boys of Alabama Team Up with Bon Iver, tUnE-yArDs and My Brightest Diamond on New LP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 11, 2013

Having performed together since the 1930s, gospel group the Blind Boys of Alabama are no strangers to the music industry. Now, however, they've compiled their first album to prominently feature indie artists.

New album I'll Find a Way was produced by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, who also performs on the Bob Dylan cover "Every Grain of Sand." The album also includes guest spots from tUnE-yArDs, Patty Griffin, Sam Amidon, My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden and White Hinterland's Casey Dienel.

Justin Vernon recorded the album at his April Base studio in Wisconsin, the same rustic location where he recorded his breakthrough 2011 effort Bon Iver.
