Published Jan 25, 2011Last fall, Detroit hip-hop king Black Milk dropped his strongest work yet in Album of the Year. The ambitious name didn't necessarily top year-end lists, but it did show the producer and rapper flex his skills in new and exciting ways alongside a live band. Now, he will be bringing that band on another North American tour this winter.
As a press release explains, "The addition of the live band helps take Black's performance into a whole new dimension of riveting live performance. The group's warm stage presence and convivial interaction, combined with some of the tightest chops in hip-hop, amount to an incredible demonstration of hip-hop's grandest potential."
The trip kicks off in Boston, MA on February 9 and concludes in San Jose, CA on February 25. In between, Black Milk will make a stop at Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club on February 24. Aside from the fact that it's his only Canadian appearance on this tour, the show will also be a special one, as Black Milk will be supported by Murs.
