Last month, hooky Atlanta garage rockers the Black Lips announced a whack of spring tour dates around North America that would pair their notoriously raucous live act with the substantially less controversial jangle pop outfit the Vivian Girls. While those dates, most of which take place on the East Coast and the U.S. Midwest, will no doubt be representative of the Black Lips' wild ways, a newly announced West Coast leg of the tour is poised to push their freakiness even further.
On the new leg of the tour, the Black Lips will make their way out west in June, with one extra Canadian show taking place in Vancouver. Accompanying the band will be reckless '80s hardcore enthusiasts Cerebral Ballzy. Considering that group's juiced-up party punk anthems, this could be a beer-soaked blast you won't want to miss.
There's still no word on when the Black Lips' upcoming, Mark Ronson-produced disc will pop up, but chances are good you will hear a song or two on their upcoming trip.
