Black Lips, Devendra Banhart Cover Mexican Tunes on <i>Rudo y Cursi</i> Soundtrack

Mexican director Carlos Cuarón's next film, Rudo y Cursi, is the story of two brothers, played by Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal, who carry the weight of their heavy soccer ambitions. For the film, Cuarón has enlisted quite the soundtrack.
Besides a cover of Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me," sung by Bernal's character, the soundtrack includes covers of Mexican songs by indie luminaries like Devendra Banhart, Juana Molina, Dios Malos and Black Lips.

The soundtrack will first hit iTunes on Cinco de Mayo (May 5), and will see a physical release on June 9 via Nacional Records.
