Black Keys Singer Dan Auerbach's Divorce Turns Messy with Accusations of Suicide Attempts and Mistreatment
Black Keys singer Dan Auerbach's name has been tossed around in Jack White's recent post-marital fallout, with the Third Man Records boss taking exception to his daughter attending school with Auerbach's. It now turns out that Auerbach is embroiled in a messy split of his own.

According to court documents acquired by TMZ, Auerbach has accused his estranged wife Stephanie Gonis of attempting suicide twice in one day. She allegedly cut her own legs in front of their daughter and then tried to burn the house down. As a result, a judge has granted Auerbach temporary custody of the child, with Gonis given supervised visitation.

In response to Auerbach's claims, Gonis has filed documents suggesting that her behaviour was a result of mistreatment during the marriage (although it's unclear what these abuse claims entail). She reportedly voluntarily underwent treatment following the self-harming incident, although she claimed that the fire was an accident. She must prove that she's fit to be a parent before being given additional parenting rights.

The Black Keys have said that they are working on a new album. Back in the winter, Auerbach said that they hoped to complete it by March. They were planning to take the summer off, and it looks as if this break hasn't turned out to be very relaxing for Auerbach.
