The Black Keys Recruit Wiz Khalifa, Jay Electronica and Curren$y for 'Blakroc 2'

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 1, 2011

While they're already elbow deep in the follow-up to their 2010 breakthrough Brothers, endlessly hard-working blues rock duo the Black Keys have another big sequel in the works with a second record in their rap-leaning Blakroc series.

According to a recent trailer, which can be viewed below, Blakroc 2 was produced by Damon Dash and sees the rockers collaborating with another star-studded rap lineup, including appearances from Talib Kweli, Sean Price, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, U-God, Jim Jones, the Cool Kids and Jay Electronica.

The clip lists "coming soon," and if you ask us, it will hit on Friday, November 25, which is the American shopping day known as Black Friday. The first Blakroc hit on Black Friday in 2009, with a deluxe version of Brothers following that up on Black Friday in 2010.
