The Black Keys' Patrick Carney Dislocates Shoulder in Swimming Injury

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 4, 2015

Bluesy arena rock duo the Black Keys recently wrapped up an enormous world tour. It's probably for the better that they don't hit the road again until early next month, as drummer Patrick Carney has dislocated his shoulder.

As TMZ reports, the drummer was swimming in St. Barths, and a giant wave slammed him into the ocean floor. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors reset his shoulder under anesthesia.

Carney is no longer in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, though he's still in pain.

The drummer documented his injury with a pair of Instagram photos, which can be viewed below.

Tune into my new lifetime movie. "Dislocated shoulder" airing right now.
