Björk's busy year has seen her support her latest album, Vulnicura, with various evocative short films and as part of a recent MoMA exhibit. Now, the Icelandic artist is letting a few friends cast the songs in a new light via a new remix project.
Up for streaming now is the first part of the Vulnicura Remix Project, which finds various artists tweaking the already experimental templates set up by Björk. Among the four tracks, Lotic fills "Notget" with more unsettling shards of white noise, while Katie Gately strips symphonic elements from "Family" to focus on echo-blown vocals and various speaker-shredding percussion ticks. Also contributing remixes are Mica Levi and Kramphaft.
