Björk

"Black Lake" (MoMA exhibit trailer)

Björk's upcoming retrospective exhibit opens up at New York's MoMA in about a month's time, so the artist has unleashed a rather earthy and fertile new trailer for the show, which likewise promotes her new Vulnicura LP.

The clip finds the singer deep in the dirt, covered in little more than stockings and moss. As the strings-assisted sounds of "Black Lake" score the scene, a large fissure across her body becomes more apparent. "I am one wound," she sings, "My pulsating body/Suffering being." A tide of oceanic fluids proceed to filter through Björk's body and out into a lush cave mountain scene.

It's quite vivid, and just a sliver of what to expect when the museum opens up the career-observing exhibit on March 8. You'll find the trailer down below.
