Birdhouse

Forgive My Head

BY Rob FerrazPublished Feb 1, 2000

What do you get when you mix pop-punk with Alice/Temple/Jam? (Besides something you wouldn’t want to listen to.) Yeah, you get Toronto’s Birdhouse. They started out in ’93 as a ’60s cover band and now groove to the sounds of NOFX, MXPX, STP and Soundgarden. Birdhouse may be wise to consider consulting a psychic network to find out which will happen first, the second death of punk or the emergence of retro grunge. Then they can adjust their sound accordingly to match the flavour of the minute.
