Billy Talent to Deliver the 'Hits' on New Compilation

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 18, 2014

Toronto-based rockers Billy Talent celebrated a decade of music-making last year with a reissue of their 2003 debut album and an anniversary tour, and the group are looking to keep the party going with the announcement of a greatest-hits record.

Titled Hits, the 14-song compilation will arrive on November 4 via Warner and feature the band's most popular tunes, plus a pair of new songs. Fans who pre-order Hits (beginning on September 25) will be treated to an instant download of new studio track "Kingdom of Zod."

"It's amazing. A dream come true," said singer Ben Kowalewicz in a statement about the collection. "All the songs we have on the record are songs that have changed us, and sculpted us as the band we are. We are very proud of it."

A deluxe edition of Hits is also slated for release, featuring live performance footage from the 10th anniversary tour and a 35-page book of photographs spanning the last decade.

The Hits tracklisting will be revealed through a series of interactive videos over at Billy Talent's website, but for now you can watch a trailer with Kowalewicz explaining the process below.
