Billy Talent Announce 'Dead Silence' LP, Reveal Artwork

We knew Canadian stadium punks Billy Talent had an album in the works, having delivered their metal-tinged teaser "Viking Death March" back in May, and the Toronto-area outfit have now revealed the details on their impending release. Rather than continue with their sequential accurate album titles, the group's fourth album and follow-up to 2009's Billy Talent III is called Dead Silence. It hits retailers September 11 via Warner Music Canada, and will arrive September 7 worldwide.

The band revealed the news via their website, where they also dropped the shark-adorned album artwork, which envisions a once mighty metropolis submerged in water. You can check it out up above.

A tracklisting has yet to be given, but the album was recorded at Vancouver's the Armoury Studios, Noble Street Studios in Toronto, and at Billy Talent's Hogtown headquarters. Guitarist Ian D'Sa worked on both sides of the boards, pulling double duty as Dead Silence's producer.

An official video for new single "Viking Death March," helmed by award-winning directors Michael
Maxxis and David Logan, is expected to surface tomorrow (July 13). The clip captures the band on their recently wrapped-up European tour. For now, you can catch a live performance of the number from the Rock Am Ring festival in Germany.
