As Pumpkin heads all know, Billy Corgan is releasing his new solo album Ogilala next month. However, along with the new William Patrick Corgan record, fans are also getting a new short film.

This afternoon (September 20), Corgan unveiled a trailer for a short film called Pillbox, which written by the Smashing Pumpkins frontman and co-directed by Corgan and Linda Strawberry. It will apparently be a silent film that is soundtracked by Ogilala.

"I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album, to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie. Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself," Corgan said in a statement.

The film will premiere in next month at a few select cities before the album arrives on October 13 via BMG. Check out a trailer for the Pillbox below alongside the list of premiere dates.

Pillbox screenings:

10/05 London, England - Royal Society of Arts
10/09 Los Angeles, CA - Los Feliz Theatre
10/11 Chicago, IL - Music Box Theatre
10/12 New York, NY - Tribeca Screening Room
