After sliding out solo album Cotillions late last year, Billy Corgan has turned his focus back to a new album from Smashing Pumpkins, and he's now shared some details for the follow-up to 2018's Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun

Speaking with Nashville's 102.9 The Buzz from Love Shack Studios, Corgan revealed that the new disc is "currently 21 songs" in length, and that he's been at work on it for over a year.

"It's pretty different — in a good way, I think," he added. "Everybody that's heard it likes it a lot, so that's a good sign."

Corgan also talked up live plans for the year, revealing, "We're gonna do some touring. We're playing a big festival in Atlanta — I think in April or May — Shaky Knees. I'm not sure we're playing Nashville this year. Actually, I think we might. I might be giving a secret away. We might be doing a little 'surprisey' gig soon."

You can watch the frontman's interview with the station below.

Corgan reunited (almost) all of Smashing Pumpkins' original members for 2018's Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 and its accompanying tour.
