Billy Corgan Embraces His Inner Foodie via His Own "Artisanal Tasting Box"

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 26, 2015

From experimental electronic performances to tea shop ownership to pro wrestling production, Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan has become something of a renaissance man in recent years. Now, the exploratory grunger has announced his latest surprising endeavour: curating a so-called "artisanal tasting box" for the small-batch food company Farm to People.

This basket of goodies retails for $129.95 and an announcement calls it "a perfect Father's Day gift." It includes "some of his favourite handcrafted products and tea from his destination tea house in Chicago, Madame Zuzu's," plus "unique vegan and paleo treats."

The announcement mentions that it includes things like "sprouted hazelnut butter," "bourbon-smoked sea salt," "chunky coconut raw chocolate bars" and more. Three lucky buyers will also get a personalized, handwritten note from Corgan himself. The contents of the box can be seen above.

In addition to the Father's Day basket, Corgan has curated one of the Farm to People's monthly tasting baskets. These "Food Critic" subscriptions cost $49.95 and Billy's June box comes with "tea from Madame Zuzu's, along with many other small-batch surprises."

There's just one problem: Farm to People only ships to the 48 contiguous United States. For more information about Farm to People, check out the website here.

Meanwhile, Smashing Pumpkins are going to be touring with Marilyn Manson this summer. See the schedule here.
