Billy Bragg

"Handyman Blues" (video)

There's a faint comedic undercurrent to Billy Bragg's song "Handyman Blues" from his new album Tooth & Nail, and the star-studded new music video for the tune emphasizes its self-deprecating tone.

The country-tinged ballad concerns Bragg's ineptitude at making repairs around the house, and the accompanying video shows a bunch of like-minded dudes meeting up for a support group at a hardware store.

As NME points out, this Johnny Vegas-directed clip features a host of British comedy icons like Phill Jupitus, Stewart Lee, Neil Morrissey, Ross Noble, Kevin Eldon, Ricky Grover and Samuel West. Bragg himself shows up for the support group halfway through the tune, as the guys do some trust falls and the hardware store becomes increasingly chaotic.

Tooth & Nail is out in Canada through Dine Alone Records.
