Touring in the COVID-19 era is more of a slough than ever before. Feeling the brunt of it, Bikini Kill have repeatedly tried to get their reunion tour on the road after announcing it in late 2019, blissfully unaware of the postponements, rescheduling and repeated delays the dawn of 2020 would bring.
Most recently, the riot grrrl rebels had to postpone their Toronto and Montreal concerts due to "ongoing illness" back in July. Now, the band have announced another slew of rescheduled dates for 2023 (and a brand new date in St. Paul, MN), including their long-awaited Canadian shows — with the exception of this week's scheduled concert in Victoria, BC, which has unfortunately been cancelled.
The poor luck for Canadian fans continued over the weekend when Kathleen Hanna and co. took to Twitter to share that their scheduled stop at Victoria, BC's Wicket Hall (f.k.a. Distrikt) this Thursday (September 15) is cancelled because, they say, the venue owners are not finished with their remodel and lack the proper licensing. The punks are offering full refunds, as well as discount codes to catch their festival set at Rifflandia the next day (September 16).
Bikini Kill will kick off next year's trek in Nashville on March 30 ahead of making their way to Montreal's MTELUS on April 12. Then, they'll play two back-to-back nights at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on April 13 and 14 before returning to the US to finish things off back in Tennessee with a Knoxville show on April 23.
Tickets go on sale Friday (September 16) at 12 p.m. ET via the band's website. Previous ticketholders have been instructed to contact their local venues regarding refunds.

If you bought a ticket it should've already been refunded in full, and a code sent to you offering a discounted ticket to the the Rifflandia Festival for if you'd like to and are able to see us play on September 16th instead.
